As soon as you step on the entrance steps, you notice the characteristic smell of the sulphurated spring water,
known and used since Roman and Arab times. The building that houses both the hotel and the spa on the ground floor is barely a decade old. Its thermal zone,
in addition, will have been fully refurbished by the beginning of 2004, with modern facilities on a floor completely made from marble,
steel and glass. The result is consequently a totally new establishment standing on the site of the old bath house, in the centre of Carballo,
capital of the Bergantiños district, eight kilometres from the superb Razo beach, thirty from A Coruña and a little further
to Santiago, and just a short drive from attractions as important as the natural environment around the Refugio de Verdes oak forest or the towns
along the "Costa da Morte".
